Christmas at Acadia 2026: Peace and Grace
Sunday, December 6th at 3 pm · Convocation Hall, Acadia University
Welcome the season with an afternoon of music spanning the centuries. The Acadia University Chorus (Michael Caines, director) and the Acadia Orchestra (Dr. Tristan De Borba, director) are joined by University Organist John Scott and harpist Deanne van Rooyen.
The program includes Abbie Betinis’s Carol of the Stranger, Ola Gjeilo’s luminous Lux Beata Trinitas, a beautiful setting of Silent Night by Dan Forrest, and works by Sarah Quartel, Antonin Dvorak, Anthony Giamanco and some Pentatonix fun! Samuel-Rousseau’s Variations pastorales on Noël Nouvelet, and Praetorius’s Renaissance carol En natus est Emanuel fill out the afternoon.
Admission $10 at the door. Free for students and youth.
