Interests and Expertise:

  • Vocal Health - (the science and pedagogy of healthy singing)
  • Performance - (understanding performance expectations, analyzing fear responses, and finding joy on stage)
  • Baroque Music - (ornamentation, history of castrato, and all things Bach!)
  • Chamber, Oratorio, and Operatic Music
  • New works and commissioned music

Community & Ensemble Involvement:

  • Canadian Chamber Choir (soloist with their 20th anniversary tour)
  • Symphony Nova Scotia (soloist for Handel's Messiah)
  • Aeolian Singers (soloist in their upcoming concert re-examining Schumann's Frameline und Leben)
  • Discover Your Dynamic Voice (developing content for my workshops supporting singers)
  • The opportunity to engage with the next generation of young musicians is a privilege. Mentoring musicians on their journey - through challenge, finding success, and developing artistry - is a thrilling mentorship role and one that fuels me.
  • I have been working as a church musician since I was 18. I apprenticed in New York as a choral scholar, substitute organist and choral director. Currently at the Port Williams United Baptist church, I direct a choir and play for weekly services. This is where I find joy, meaning, and balance.
