The Acadia University School of Music presents When the Sun Comes After Rain, A Concert by the Acadia University Wind Ensemble with Mark Hopkins, conductor.

The Acadia University Wind Ensemble is presenting their first concert of the year, performing
works by composers Aaron Copland, Cait Nishimura Matthew Emery (arranged by Evan Hammel)
and Loonis McGlohon, as arranged by Rob McConnel for the Boss Brass. 2023 marks 100 years
since the first performance of Folk Song Suite by Ralph Vaughan Williams, and this work will be
performed in a new edition. The concert will close with a rare performance of David Maslanka’s
epic tone poem California.
