Acadia School of Music’s Concert & Lecture Series - Scott Leithead - Festival Theatre
|
On Thursday, October 9, the Acadia School of Music Concert & Lecture Series presents “Beyond the Performance: Building a Career in Music” – a talk by choral conductor Scott Leithead. What might your life in music look like five, ten years or in the distant future? There are many paths and you may be surprised by where your journey takes you. Through stories, lessons, and a few hard-earned mistakes, we’ll explore how to find mentors, how to say yes to opportunities outside your comfort zone, and how to build meaningful musical communities. What are the possibilities and connections you can find even now while studying at Acadia that will help set you up for a future in Music? Scott Leithead is the founder and Artistic Director of both Korora Choir Association and TIME Vocal Jazz Association in Edmonton, Alberta. This event begins at 1:00pm in the FESTIVAL THEATRE. Concert & Lecture Series events are free and all are welcome to attend – please join us! |
