Back by popular demand from their 2018 all-Telemann show, the Acadia Flute Studio presents a concert of the complete collection of flute sonatas by baroque era composer Michel Blavet. In collaboration with pianist Mary Castello, the evening will provide a rare opportunity to hear all of Blavet’s delightful and wildly-varied Flute sonatas!

In the final event of his visit, the life and music of Donald Coakley will be explored and celebrated by three bands! Come and hear three great concert bands as they perform Coakley’s music. In addition, the Acadia University Wind Ensemble will perform the world premiere of I Lost My Talk by the Acadia University Wind Ensemble. Based on the poem by Rita Joe, this work by Canadian composer John Estacio explores the meaning of reconciliation. Written originally for the National Arts Centre Orchestra, the AUWE will present the world premiere of the wind ensemble version of the piece, transcribed by Mark Hopkins.
