On Thursday, February 5, the Acadia School of Music Concert & Lecture Series presents “On Music and the Natural World” – a presentation by Dr. Michael Donovan. 

With a background in Deep Ecology, composer, singer and musicologist Dr. Michael Donovan will share thoughts, music and reflections on the role of nature in music, and its importance in today’s world. A scholar on the depiction of nature in Franz Schubert’s poetic settings, Donovan’s past, current and future projects reflect an ongoing exploration of how music can play a role in fostering ecological awareness and providing solace in a changing world. 

This event begins at 1:00pm in the FESTIVAL THEATRE.

On Thursday, February 12, 2026, the Acadia School of Music's Concert & Lecture Series presents a student recital.

The program will feature a diverse selection of music performed by student vocalists and instrumentalists, accompanied by our AUSOM faculty collaborative pianist, Mary Castello.  

The recital will begin at 1:00 pm.

On Saturday, February 28, 2026, Acadia School of Music presents recitals performed by Mattingly Lunn and Emma Garde, accompanied by our AUSOM faculty collaborative pianist, Mary Castello.

The recital will begin at 2:00 pm in Festival Theatre.

About Tymisha Harris:

Tymisha Harris is a dynamic and versatile vocalist/dancer/actress renowned for her powerful performances and captivating stage presence. With a career spanning four decades and numerous performing arts genres, she has captivated audiences worldwide with her soulful voice and infectious energy. Her early credits include assistant choreographer and dancer for the 90’s pop group N*SYNC, backup dancer for LFO, and a featured role in the hit movie series Bring It On. She was in the national tour of Rock of Ages and on a European tour with the innovative and world-renowned Pilobulus Dance Theater Company.  Tymisha is the co-creator and star of the off-Broadway and international hit musical, “Josephine, a Burlesque Cabaret Dream Play”.
